The Full Story

My name is Marlise (Lisa), and my healing journey began at the age of 18 when I became a massage therapist. I found joy in helping others relieve physical pain, but as I connected more deeply with my clients, I felt a pull to offer even more to support them. However, as life unfolded and I embraced full-time motherhood, farm life, and eventually homeschooling my children, my own health began to suffer under the weight of constant stress.

Struggling with depression, anxiety, and a variety of health issues, I sought help from the medical field. After feeling disillusioned by overmedication and unsatisfactory answers from doctors, I turned to alternative medicine. It was then that I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, which connected the dots to many of my ongoing struggles, including infertility, PCOS, endometriosis, depression, anxiety, sleep problems and weight gain.

I began to dive deeply into herbalism and holistic healing, and as I did, I felt an undeniable calling to help others navigate their own health journeys. No matter how many times I tried to walk away from herbalism, I was always drawn back in by an invisible force. I knew this was my path.

As my children entered their teenage years, they began to experience similar health challenges, and sadly, three of my five daughters were also diagnosed with the same autoimmune disease. This reinforced my determination to help others and to ensure no one had to suffer as I did.

Today, I specialize in working one-on-one with clients to formulate personalized herbal blends to support their unique health needs. I'm also an avid forager and educator of medicinal plants in the wild. I believe that everything we need to support our bodies God has already provided for us on this earth, and that God and nature hold the wisdom we need to heal. I am deeply grateful for the lessons God has taught me along this journey.

When I'm not high up in the Rocky Mountains foraging, tending to my medicinal garden, caring for my chickens and ducks, or sculpting with clay, you can find me enjoying time with my family and grandchildren. I may be a homebody at heart, but I am passionate about helping others find their path to wellness, just as I have.

My Education: I have taken several courses through the Herbal Academy, Rosemary Gladstar’s course, The science and Art of Herbalism as well as countless books I have read and Herbal conference’s I have attended and time out in the field, literally. I only practice massage therapy on close friends and family when I have time.
